<title>Comedy Actor Jamal Mixon Takes on a Serious Role in Gridiron Gang</title>

<description><![CDATA[<table><tbody><tr><td valign="top"></td></tr><tr><td valign="top"><div><span><img src="http://www.mediablvd.com/magazine/images/Issue17/mixon180.jpg"/></span></div><div><span>Jamal Mixon is probably best known for his role as Ernie, the little brother of Eddie Murphy's character in the <i>Nutty Professor</i>, and the <i>Nutty Professor II</i>.&nbsp; The dinner table scene where Murphy (dressed in drag as the mother of the family) refers to him as <i>Herculeez, Herculeez, Herculeez</i> has stuck with Mixon.&nbsp;&nbsp; But he is moving into something new with his latest project, <i>The Gridiron Gang</i>.&nbsp; He sat down to talk to MediaBlvd Magazine about his experiences filming the movie, which stars 'The Rock', and is based on a 1993 documentary.</span></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><span>Jamal's character, Ernest, is based on a the life of a real teenager.&nbsp; The movie explores the story behind a coach who refused to give up on a group of kids that society had written off.</span></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><span>Jamal also talks about the plans he and his twin brother Jerod have for the future, and what kinds of roles they would like to be doing, as well as several new projects which branch out into writing their own scripts.</span></div><br/><a href="http://www.mediablvd.com/magazine/Magazine-Home/MBMag_20060420276.html"><font color="#0099ff">read the transcript at MediaBlvd Magazine&gt;&gt;</font></a></td></tr></tbody>
